The 1964 stingrays styling was cleaned up a bit. The split window coupe was gone. The 1960s threes fake wood vents or eliminated and the roof fans were restyled. A three speed fan was available in the coupe to aid in ventilation. A 327cid V8 with 10.5.1 compression, a single card WCFB four barrel carb and 250 hp was standard. The optional L75 had a card or aluminum type AFB as a high lift cam and a holly four barrel carb. It developed 300 hp. Next came the L 76 V8 with mechanical valve lifters.
Seven exterior colors were available for the 1964: Tuxedo Black, Ermine White, Riverside red, satin Silver, Silver blue, Daytona blue And saddle Tan. All body colors were available with a choice of black, white or beige soft tops
